She was born to Rosa Rivera and music producer Pedro Rivera. She had five siblings named Lupillo, Juan, Rosie, Pedro Jr. and Gustavo. She was married three times, to Jose Trinidad Marin, Juan Lopez and Esteban Loaiza. She had five children named Chiquis, Jenicka, Jacqie, Johnny and Michael.
