Iconic Mexican singer whose 1991 album Romance became one of the top-selling Spanish albums of all-time. In 1985, he became the youngest artist ever to win a Grammy at the age of 14. He's known for hits such as "Ahora te Puedes Marchar," "La Incondicional," "No Sé Tú" and "La Media Vuelta."

Trivia

He starred in the movies Ya Nunca Más (1984) and Fiebre de Amor (1985) with Lucero, and he released an album of the same name for each. He's released nearly 30 albums and performed more than 20 tours. He's won six Grammys throughout his career.

Before Fame

He watched and analyzed the performances of Elvis Presley when he was young. At the age of 11, he formerly debuted as a singer at the wedding of the daughter of México's president at the time, José López Portillo.

Family Life

He was born in Puerto Rico but at an early age moved to Mexico with his family. He's the son of Spanish singer Luisito Rey and his mother was Marcela Basteri. He has two younger brothers named Alejandro and Sergio. He had a daughter named Michelle with Stephanie Salas and two sons with Aracely Arambula named Miguel and Daniel. He had a relationship with Mariah Carey in the late 1990s. He also dated Sofía Vergara, Myrka Dellanos and Daisy Fuentes, among others.

Associated With

He sang a duet with Frank Sinatra on the song "Come Fly with Me," which was part of Sinatra's last album, Duets II.
